Registration?
Once you’ve joined the waitlist, Miss Jarvis will reach out to provide updates on your child’s placement. If your child is accepted, you can expect to receive a welcome email and a day to schedule orientation. Please note that class spots are limited, as I keep my classes small with 4 students max to ensure personalized attention and care. Thank you so much for your interest! I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child!
Curriculum?
Miss Jarvis uses fun planned activities and lessons, along with The Good and the Beautiful curriculum in class every day. This curriculum maximizes learning by teaching multiple concepts in each activity or lesson, reducing busy work! Miss Jarvis will keep your child’s workbook at the learning space until they have completed it together! It will be an exciting school year! All learning materials will be purchase with your $50 annual supply fee.
Drop off/Pick up Time?
Please plan on dropping your child off and picking him/her up from the good apple office. Please do not drop off students more than 10 minutes early. Miss Jarvis will not be waiting at the office until then. Students will only be sent home with those individuals listed on your registration form. Please let Miss Jarvis know if there is a change in who will pick your student up, or if your student will be going home with a friend. Please plan on picking up your child on time! A $10.00 late fee will be given for each late pick-up beyond 10 minutes of class time ending.
Tuition?
The Good Apple Private Learning Space is $299/month. Tuition will be due on the first school day of the month. You can also pay for the full school year in one payment. A $10.00 late fee will be assigned for tuition paid after the 3rd of the month. No credits or refunds will be given for vacations, sick days or any missed days for any reason.
Visitors?
To help limit distractions, and as a safety precaution, The Good Apple does not have an open-door policy. However, when planned, visitors are most welcome within the learning space! Visitors can be expected for holiday parties, birthdays, special events etc. If for any reason you might need to visit your child during class time, please text or call thegoodapplelearningspace@gmail.com ahead of time.
Feeling Sick?
Please keep your child home if they have a fever, rash, cough, pink eye, colored mucous from nose, upset stomach, or are complaining of not feeling well. Children who have been ill should be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to The Good Apple. Miss Jarvis reserves the right to cancel class should she become ill. If she is sick beyond three school days, school will be rescheduled for a makeup day or a refund will be issued.
The Good Apple Folder?
Students are given a folder on their first day of school. Miss Jarvis will fill your child’s folder with a monthly calendar, notes, classwork, homework, etc. for your student to take home. Please check your student’s folder and return it with your child the following school day.
Backpacks?
Yes! Your child is encouraged to bring a backpack! Backpacks will help to transport important information/classwork home, as well as keep your student’s belongings safe!
